Members

NADE has instituted a policy of membership levels. New members enter the organization as Associate Members. Associate members working full time as document examiners can become General Members. For more information on membership levels, contact Membership Chairperson, Mary Helen Bean.

NADE certifies document examiners who meet specific requirements including an application process, written testing and oral testing.

Upon successful completion of the certification process a member is entitled to use the designation of Certified Document Examiner, or CDE. To maintain this designation, a certificate holder must be recertified every five years.

Members who have successfully completed the written examination, but not taken the oral examination, can use the designation Candidate for Certification.
